In aesthetic dermatology, there is a wide range of applications for laser treatments. Kreyden Aesthetics has all laser systems available, in order to approach every change correctly and efficiently. IPL technology removes unwanted hair (epilation), facial redness or hemangiomas, as well as hyperpigmentation. In addition, this system is ideally suited for a general freshening of the face (rejuvenation).
For the removal of protruding fibromas of the face, the CO2 laser comes into play. With this technique, it’s possible to remove aesthetically bothersome skin with practically no scarring.
With the Erbium-YAG laser, acne scarring, stretch marks and unattractive scars, as well as fine lines around the lips and eyes can be eliminated gently.

Expression lines are treated with Botulinum toxin*. The safety of this substance has been proven in numerous scientific publications. The main application area is the uppermost third of the face, in treating the glabellar frown lines between the eyebrows, worry lines on the forehead and crows feet at the corners of the eyes.
A few days after the relatively simple treatment, bothersome lines and wrinkles are visibly reduced, leaving a smooth look. Your relaxed, well-rested facial expression is back. As simple as that.
The treatment of the lower third of the face that is offered by Praxis Methininserhof is challenging, due to the complex interaction between the muscles used for expression. This treatment is only carried out by the practice’s designated experts. An experienced hand can set about treating «orange peel» chins, sagging corners of the mouth, bothersome «chipmunk cheeks» or turkey neck in an aesthetically pleasing way. By injecting Botulinum toxin, and with the right indication, a certain degree of lifting can also be achieved.
Depending on the depth of the lines, a combination of Botulinum toxin and an augmentation with dermal fillers may also be recommended.
*Botox/Vistabel ® is approved by Swissmedic for the treatment of average to pronounced glabella lines on adult patients. Therefore, other uses are «off label».

Static wrinkles due to loss of volume can be treated with fillers. Currently, hyaluronic acid is the most widely-used filler worldwide, mainly due to its absolutely unproblematic tolerability, as it’s a substance naturally found in our organism. The safety of this substance has been proven in numerous scientific publications.
Hyaluronic acid is injected in areas where there’s a loss of volume. On the one hand, deep wrinkles can be lifted and smoothed, such as deep glabella or nose-to-mouth lines (nasolabial folds). On the other hand, structural deficits can be balanced out, such as chipmunk cheeks or loss of volume underneath the cheekbones. Alongside this, hyaluronic acid is suitable for lip augmentation or for the treatment of saggy or wrinkly earlobes that no longer offer proper support for earrings.
When superficially injecting non-crosslinked hyaluronic acid with added micronutrients and other important nutritive substances for the skin, the treatment is called Mesotherapy. This is more suited for an extensive, long-lasting re-vitalisation of the skin, rather than for a visible change of volume. If structural results are also desired, we recommend a Meso-Peel.

Firstly, we differentiate between surface, medium-depth and deep peels. Surface peels are done with fruit or glycolic acids. This way, we can achieve a general freshening-up of the complexion, such as refinement of the skin structure or the treatment of acne-prone or oily skin. On the day of treatment, the skin may appear slightly red, followed by some minimal peeling on the following day.
Medium-depth peels are done with 15 to 25% trichloroacetic acid (TCA). Mature skin can be rejuvenated with this method. Fine lines, dark spots and slight structural changes such as orange peel skin can be treated effectively in one session. Due to the inflammation phase, which lasts about two days, this treatment is also known as the «weekend peel».
Deep peels are indicated with skin that’s advanced in years (with sun damage and deeper-seated pigmentation changes). Using TCA 35%, respectively phenol, deep vertical lines on the upper lip (smoker lines) or annoying lower-eyelid lines can be effectively and permanently smoothed. If this method is used on the entire face, a surprising lifted effect can be achieved. Due to the deeper structural penetration, there’s more downtime involved.
For optimal results, we combine medium-depth and deep chemical peels on various parts of the face. At Kreyden Aesthetics, we call this «mosaic peels».
To us, Meso-Peels are defined by the combination of a surface peel with multiple injections of non-crosslinked hyaluronic acid and with added micronutrients and other important nutritive substances (vitamins, amino acids, minerals).
