The first Chemical Peeling Conference 2023 (CPC Basel 2023) took place on Nov 17th and 18th in Basel under the scientific direction of Dr Oliver Ph. Kreyden (Immediate Past President International Peeling Society) in the Hotel Mövenpick. The topic of the CPC was the application of superficial to deep peeling for therapeutic and aesthetic indications including pre- and post-treatment as well as the anesthesia method. The invited international peeling experts presented the topic theoretically very detailed and were present to discuss questions from the audience.

In a practical part, the peeling technique, tips and clinical trends were demonstrated to the participants by live peelings on patients. Patients who had had a phenol peel before the CPC Basel were also invited for their follow-up and reported on their experiences.

The social programme included a gala dinner in a former monastery in the heart of Basel. This gave the participants the opportunity to continue the discussions or simply to end the evening on the dance floor. On the last day Dr Kreyden guided personally the interested participants through his home town of Basel.

Most of the attendees were dermatologists and plastic surgeons from 13 different countries. All videos of the presentations and live treatments are available to the participants as videos in the CPC Basel app. The app also offers the opportunity to further network.
